MailToMessage is a macOS menu bar app that uses AI to read your emails and text you the highlights via iMessage. No inbox zero methodology. No productivity system. Just the information you actually need, delivered where you'll actually see it.

AI-Powered Summarization

Choose from three AI providers based on your privacy needs:

Claude (Anthropic) - Best summarization quality
OpenAI (GPT-4) - Excellent alternative
Ollama (Local) - Runs entirely on your machine with zero external connections

Flexible Scheduling

Set your own summary schedule—morning, lunch, end of day, or any custom times. Skip weekends with a toggle, or hit "Run Now" for immediate summaries.

Multiple Account Support

Handle multiple email accounts with separate sections in each summary. Enable or disable accounts individually based on your needs.

Smart Content Filtering

Optional redaction of sensitive patterns (account numbers, SSNs, etc.) before sending to cloud AI providers.

How It Works

Lives invisibly in your menu bar
Fetches recent emails from Apple Mail on your schedule
Processes through your chosen AI model
Sends a summary to your Messages app

You get a text with deadlines, action items, key dates, and who needs what from you. Everything else gets filtered out.

Pricing

Free. If you use Claude or OpenAI, you pay for API usage (usually pennies per summary). Ollama is completely free.
